Introduction : The Dezat family is one of the oldest wine-growing families in Sancerre. References to the family can be found in records dating as far back as 1550. André DEZAT took over the family vineyards in 1948 and became actively involved in promoting the wines of Sancerre. I the 1970’s, he was joined by his sons, Louis and Simon and then by his grandsons, Arnaud and Firmin Dezat.
The Domaine modernised with new facilities and gained new impetus, particularly in terms of the production of wines from Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé.
