Champagne 1er Cru Bergeronneau-Marion
Born in 1963, Florent Bergeronneau was prompted by his father François’s advice and ambition. He very soon helped his parents in the vineyards and attended an alternating training course at the Gionges Training Centre. When he was 18, his parents offered him a small plot and he was thus able to start, initially as a wine co-op, without losing sight of his goal, which was to become independent. As a lover of the vine, he worked with desire, force and passion.
Le Clos des Bergeronneau was born in 2007 from an idyllic dream. In the heart of the village of Ville-Dommange, surrounded by gates, hedges and restored 19th century walls, Le Clos des Bergeronneau is 2.10 hectares of Pinot Noir vines (25%) and Pinot Meunier (75%) ideally facing south-east. The Bergeronneau family practices sustainable viticulture there to preserve the old vines as well as possible. A true showcase in the heart of Champagne, Le Clos des Bergeronneau is a place of great rarity where one will delight in the “Clos des Bergeronneau” cuvée which tells it all in aromas, with finesse and voluptuousness.
The Clos des Bergeronneau is a 75% pinot Meunier and 25% Pinot Noir champagne. This cuvée owes its name to the original parcel of the grapes that make it up. This 65-year-old grassy vine is surrounded by a 19th century wall. This particularity gives this vine and its grapes a typical of the Reims mountain. This special cuvée has been the subject of aging in the cellar for 72 months. This mono-parcellar and single-varietal champagne will be perfect to accompany an aperitif.
